Equipment

Ingredients

  • 10 whole shallots thinly sliced
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet or fry pan, add vegetable oil and set to medium heat
  • Add in sliced shallots and fry until lightly golden brown. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
  • When lightly golden brown, remove and let rest and drain on a paper towel.
  • When cooled, place in a air tight container and store for up to a week.

Notes

Make sure to keep moving the shallots around to fry them evenly. One key thing to remember is the remove them when they are lightly golden as they will continue to cook and darken as they rest.
